Back Story...
My Famous Friend was more than 5 years in the making. The songs on My Famous Friend were written by Anderson and songwriting partner, Dave Beckett. Anderson and Beckett formed a rare songwriting duo, working together for several years in the early-to-mid-nineties. Beckett was taken from this world early, while working on completing their debut CD. As a performing duo, Anderson and Beckett called themselves, "My Famous Friend", thus the album title.
Lynn considered closing the book on music altogether, but after a nine month hiatus from writing, Anderson wrote, "FIRE!" It was at this point Anderson decided it was upon her to complete the recording and honor the work she and Beckett created. |
